When I am older there are things I want to do
Here is a list of just a few...
Hockey player, architect is my employment
But there is more for my enjoyment
It would take me years to learn
But in the end, a degree a would earn
It would help me find my career
It would keep me working year to year
Traveling and dogs would bring me much joy
It would be like a new toy to a boy
Brothers, Friends, Family are some roles I would take on
Not just temporarily, but life-long
Traveling is a joy of mine
I will do it on my spare time
Australia, up North, UK I will go
I will explore beaches, culture and snow
Helping others is important to me
I will be of service any way I can be
Food, shelter, clothes are something I will do
Helping the elders and homeless too
Even though I am young, I can start these tasks now
And as I get older, I will know how
To be the best person I can be
And trying my best will make me truly happy

I want to dive through the sky, like a bird and it’s wings that will never die.
I want to explore the deep blue sea, befriending critters to help along my journey.
I wish to fly a huge metal bird, roaring it’s engines for all to be heard.
These are all things that I wish to do, but these are not all, no, just a few.
I want to dive into culture and lore, discovering legends never heard of before.
I want to have pets, one billion or more, or maybe I can work at a jewelry store.
I could learn to fly, or I could learn to sing, I could sit with my brother on a mile-high swing.
I’ll write a book about the great outdoors, or open a shop that sells only drawers.
I could do all these things in one lifetime, but for now, I’ll just stick with a rhyme.

When I get older, many things will be different.
Like my skills and abilities to create entertainment.
Of course, there is no limit to what I can learn,
But one day there will be satisfaction that I will earn.
There are some things I want to do before I die.
So, making a bucket list out of a poem should be like pie.
Speaking of pie, there are so many I wish to make.
Apple, blueberry, banana cream, that I will all bake.
Traveling around the world would be so much fun.
But there are so many to visit, I can`t choose just one.
Maybe France, Mexico or Japan.
I`ll go to one of these places someday, that’s the plan.
I haven`t seen many movie series before today.
Like Fast and Furious or Star Wars, to get it out of the way.
But right now, its summer so I can sit in front of my T.V. all curled,
while watching these movies all day because I have all the time in the world.
Finishing school will definitely be hard.
I just might cry at the end of gr.12 when I get my last report card.
After all, I spent most of my life in it.
But I will let go it, bit by bit.
I don`t know what I`ll be when I`m older.
A waitress, a teacher maybe a soldier.
There is just so much I could be,
but for now, I`ll just be me.

She can drink it when she is working
She will finish it before the end of the morning
And I will be warming
